Youth Awards

The World Food Prize Foundation Youth Awards elevate the ideas and achievements of emerging leaders committed to building a more food-secure world. Through these awards, the Foundation recognizes Youth Programs participants for outstanding research, innovative solutions, excellence in internships and fellowships and a demonstrated commitment to creating meaningful change.

The Global Challenge is the Foundation’s educational curriculum focused on global food insecurity, agriculture and sustainability. To participate in the Global Challenge, students research and write a paper and develop solutions to some of the world’s most critical issues. Each year over 10,000 students across the world engage with the Global Challenge curriculum. Over 2,100 students annually present their recommendations from their Global Challenge paper at a World Food Prize Foundation Youth Institute.

Winners of the Global Challenge Awards are selected annually from delegates at the Global Youth Institute, held concurrently with the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue.
